For the reader entering a brand-new year with absolutely no intention of lowering her standards for fictional kingdoms, morally gray rulers, dangerous quests, or love interests with suspiciously complicated pasts.

The New Year, Same Fictional Standards T-Shirt is made for Romantasy readers who know some expectations are worth keeping. Featuring an ornate balance scale weighing a jeweled crown against a stack of fantasy books, surrounded by celestial stars, a crescent moon, a frost-touched red rose, a sealed letter, a dagger, and winter greenery, this design turns reader expectations into an official declaration for the year ahead. Perfect for:

  • New Year bookstore trips, January reading resets, and fresh TBR weekends
  • Romantasy book clubs setting appropriately unreasonable fictional expectations for the year ahead
  • gifting the reader who refuses to settle for boring plots, weak chemistry, or underwhelming fictional royalty

New year. Same fictional standards. Some things simply should not be compromised.
